Terms of Service

1. The service and your account

Rednex Arcade is operated by John Christoffer Fredriksen as a private individual from Norway, not through Fredriksen Uteområde AS. The free service provides browser games, character creation, multiplayer rooms, social features and game records. For questions, see Contact in the Privacy Policy.

You can play as a guest or use available Twitch sign-in. Only use accounts you are authorized to use. Keep recovery codes and access to your browser/Twitch account secure; do not share another player's session or attempt to access their data. Guest drawings and unsynced changes may exist only on your device. Clearing browser data without a recovery method can make a guest profile inaccessible.

You must be at least 13 years old to use Rednex Arcade. The service is not specifically directed at children. If you are under 18, you need a parent or guardian's permission where the law requires it. Being 13 does not by itself satisfy every privacy, contractual or platform requirement. If processing requires consent, local rules may require a parent's authorization; Twitch and other services may have additional age and permission rules. These terms do not replace those requirements.

2. Play fairly and respect other people

• Do not harass, threaten, impersonate, discriminate against or deliberately target other players.
• Do not publish hateful, sexually explicit or illegal content in names, drawings, rooms or messages. Do not share someone else's private information.
• Do not cheat, manipulate records, exploit bugs for unfair advantage, automate abuse, spam, bypass blocks or rate limits, or disrupt the game or its infrastructure.
• Only upload or share material you have the right to use. Respect copyright, trademarks and other people's privacy.
• Do not request passwords, recovery codes, tokens or other private credentials from players.

Technical safeguards can reject requests or invalid game results. Lobby chat allows 5 messages per 10 seconds; Whispers allow 10 per 10-second window and 60 per minute. The first excess message is rejected with a warning. Repeated violations within 60 minutes lead to a 5-minute chat timeout, then 30 minutes for a further violation after the first timeout, with no further automatic escalation. Sending during a timeout does not extend it. Escalation resets after 60 minutes without a new violation. Timeouts cover both lobby chat and Whispers, never ordinary gameplay, and follow the verified profile across reconnects and parallel connections.

Block User prevents lobby-chat delivery, Whispers and invitations between the blocked profiles and removes friendship links; it does not ban someone from the service or prevent shared gameplay. There is no separate Ignore control. Turn off Show Custom Faces in Settings, or use H in multiplayer when not typing or using a dialog, to see default yellow smileys instead of other players' custom faces. This is a local display preference, not removal of their drawings.

Use Report Player on player entries/cards or received lobby messages and Whispers for Offensive Face, Hate Speech, Harassment or Other. Offensive Face is available on player cards and refers to the current server-observed face. Submit honest reports; do not coordinate false reports. Only one active report per reporter and player/content is accepted across reasons, with limits of 5 new reports per 10 minutes and 20 per 24 hours. Each report expires after 30 days. A temporary message buffer lasts up to 15 minutes; older, evicted or pre-restart messages cannot be content-reported. Evidence shared by several reports remains until the last linked report expires or is deleted. See the Privacy Policy for cleanup and backup limits.

Reports never cause automatic punishment. Three distinct reports about the same face only flag it for manual review; counts do not prove a violation. There is no AI assessment, automatic drawing removal, report-driven ban or new automatic text-content filter. Do not assume every message or drawing is monitored: this phase has no administration/review interface or guarantee of active report review.

To notify the operator about illegal content or ask about an incorrect timeout or other measure, use Contact in the Privacy Policy. Describe what happened, where and when, why you believe it is illegal or incorrect, and your profile identity if relevant. Do not send credentials or unnecessary personal information. In-game reporting is not an emergency service. Email contact is not an automated appeal process or a guarantee of a particular response time or outcome.

3. Your drawings and messages

You keep ownership of content you create. By submitting it, you permit Rednex Arcade to store, copy, transmit and display it only as needed to provide the chosen features, including profile pictures, gameplay, chat, handling abuse reports and necessary backups. This permission does not transfer ownership or grant an unrelated advertising license.

Players can see content you share with them, and records/replays may be visible through leaderboards. Other people may capture screenshots or streams; do not assume public play is confidential. We cannot erase independent copies made by other people.

4. Logging out and deleting a profile

You can stop playing at any time. Logging out does not delete your profile. When the feature is available, use Settings → Profile to request Delete Guest Profile or Delete Account, or use Contact in the Privacy Policy.

Deletion is irreversible once completed. An accepted request or sign-out is not confirmation of completed erasure; provider revocation and backup safeguards may leave it pending. A later sign-in after completed deletion creates a new profile, not a recovery of the deleted one. Separate guest profiles, other devices and unrelated browser settings may need separate cleanup. See the Privacy Policy's retention and deletion section.

5. Availability, changes and your legal rights

Connections, rooms, records and online features can be interrupted by maintenance, restarts, network issues or third-party failures. We do not promise uninterrupted access, permanent rankings or recovery of browser-only drawings. Features and game rules may change; material changes to these terms should be clearly notified with an effective date before they apply.

Twitch and emote providers operate their own services under their own terms. Rednex Arcade is not Twitch, and Twitch sign-in does not mean Twitch endorses the game.

Nothing here removes rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded, including mandatory consumer and data-protection rights. These terms select no exclusive court and do not limit mandatory protections available where you live.
